take pictures when all lights are off.. hmm
Well im not sure if my city participates so it would be pretty stupid if i stand there with my camera and nothing happens. how do i know?
Everywhere people participate.
I garuntee if you live in a bigger, or higher populated city in the world you will notice a difference in the amount of lights
on/off looking towards a big core of the city (Eg. where all the sky scrapers are) because they might not be owned locally, but globally...everywhere has somebody participating.
Last uear (2008) over 50 million people world wide participated, and it was proved by electrical companies with a huge huge decrease in the amount of
electricity being used throughout the city.
The was last year, 50 million people.
When they found out 50 million people made their part, it hit the media big time.
It is now being predicted to be the biggest movement to help stop Global Warming. (They are predicting over 150 million this year)
Huge companies are advertising this.
Eg:
Futureshop and Bestbuy electronic stores are turning off all their outside lights, the "future shop/bestbuy" signs on the building, and all
the display lights in store.
Various banks of the world are participating the same way Futureshop is.
