Nice pics although im not a huge fan of macro/close up theyre good

OMG! those are some cool looking photos of small animals and bugs
It really reminds me of that pond in a park where I used to visit to catch bugs and frogs when I was a kid
I really like the shot of that frog. How far were you from it when you took that picture? I know most frogs would dive or jump away if you get too close to them lol.

If I remember well I zoomed it as much as I could and I must have been about 4 feet away from it.....
But they kind of get used to the human presence, wth my kids and I always being around.

About the off-center comment..... ya I never really noticed I did that!!!!
All my pictures seem to be dead center
I will try to work on that for my next shots...

But please be patient with me, as I can only change the new shots, and I only have old shots to post for now....

Of course it is not as good as the real thing, but cropping your photos can be a nice way to reproduce the rule of thirds (off-centre).

Feel free to crop these and show me what would be a nicer way to present them..

The first picture is really neat with the sparkling wings, kind of like a fairy. It makes the picture look magical. I like it.

IMO those pics show exactly that it is also possible to take great pictures and show your talent without an expensive camera
