Well lately I do have found my 17-85mm lens quite limiting in some situations and often I had to back away from objects just to get a clear shot but the result wouldn't be as good as with a wider lens like yours because the main subject got smaller if that makes sense.
I am trying VERY VERY hard to save some money to get that Sigma lens even though I think I have kinda developed an addiction to food here lmao! Believe me or not yesterday I spent over 40 bucks on food...

I actually walked quite far away from the downtown area and walked through a very nice and quiet residential area with some of the houses looking to belong to wealthy people. I asked a friend of mine about that frozen river and he told me it indeed is a river and it's quite nice there during the summer so I am waiting impatiently to go back there during the summer and take some more photos. I just hope I won't bump into those angry dogs again lol.

Not bad, agree with the bad noise thing, doesn't look anything like film grain.

That 4th picture was funny and I actually did think that it looked very 1950's (didn't even see your comment on that picture yet). Old house and old car.

I didn't like the later pictures with the added noise. I prefer the original. The one with the heart is nice, but remove the noise and it'll be 100x better.

I am glad that you guys agree with me that added grain/noise in PS looks crappy lol

Well I think that the shadow casted by the car kinda ruined the shot a lil bit and that I failed to get a good background blur but oh well lol I guess the selective color thing in Photoshop kinda saved it.

Personally I hate snow tongue.gif probably because I have seen too much of it, especially here in Canada lol.
Well California isn't that far from Saskatchewan just get on a plane and you'd here in like 3-4 hours or something biggrin.gif

it can be useful in some situations... for example trying to create an old image, you may also want to add scratches.

I actually tried to add scratches but it kinda made the picture blurry... maybe I just did it the wrong way.

Who the hell would want to add scratches to stuff?
