this was done for a school project we had to pick a item and focus on one aspect of it, as you can see it goes from clear at the logo to unfocused, same w/ the brick wall

Is this 35 mm?
The only suggestion I have would've composed the logo so that it aligns with an intersections on the thirds grid. Right now, it seems a little too low, but not too much.
And I, too like the whole graininess effect =)
