thankyou Chantal! biggrin.gif

the border is pretty hard to explain but ill have a go:

-select however much you want from the edge of the picture, make sure its inversed so you have the lesser of the picture selected
-hit quick mask mode (the majority of the photo should be red)
-go into filters, then gallary then brush strokes
-choose one you like
-exit quick mask
-you should have the border area selected, so create a new layer, then fill it with a colour of your choice with the paint bucket!
-done!

Sweet! I will try this out when I make a border biggrin.gif Thanks!

you can see clips of the old sky on the roof and in the puddle and tree. i think it was a half effort to make a half well composed picture look similar to a hdr with a underexposed sky. if you gonna do all that editing at least do a good job... i like the picture but it just very sloppy

it looks nothing like a HDR, i simply replaced the sky. true if i had more time i would have made it neater. but who cares if i missed a little bit around the edge? just try to imagine it without the sloppyness smile.gif
