Good luck reading the new TouA.
It's over like 100 pages long in the Facebook editors blog -.-

BUT, Media websites and new stations have read through it and found that when you upload to Facebook,
it become theirs. They can do anything with it, even after you delete it. (With anything you upload, including pictures, quotes etc.)

the one i quoted was the only "official" TouA and if what ur saying is correct that would mean the feed from my flickr to facebook they could use my flickr pics and probably be breaking copyright off the flickr agreements.
the TouA you are referring to is no longer current they reverted to the one i quoted until they have revised the new one... because of a voice up over this stuff

i think it would be real nice if you made the border slightly closer to the edge of the picture, and a little higher contrast maybe to make it stand out a little more smile.gif

hmm I thought Facebook has been having that part of their terms of use for awhile. I remember like two years ago I read in the newspaper in Sweden about the fact that Facebook could simply steal your photos uploaded on there lol. Well I don't really care much since I am not a pro photographer anyway and I doubt my pictures are that great lol but I may will downsize the pictures to like 640x480 before uploading them on Facebook in the future.

I think the not too visible borders look actually better because you wouldn't get too distracted by them and making the picture a lil bit more abstract but I guess it has something to do with personal preferences lol.

Nice to personalize your work, I love this picture btw..
I like the way the squirrel stands out in the white/grey background...

Thanks! happy.gif I have many more pictures of this squirrel, chose to share my favourite one. biggrin.gif

@ Facebook topic: I've watermarked all my photos, but in that Quote that SS_avenger posted, it says that they can use part of the content, or all of it. So if they wanted, they could just cut it out. At least I'm making it more difficult for them to use the photos, if they so desire. I can see why they use your photos though, cause they need money to keep the site up and running. They get $$ for advertising I'm sure.

From what I have heard Facebook is making a lot of money on advertising and selling gifts so the photo theft is act of pure greed -.-

haha I guess it doesn't matter what border you use and how awesome you think it looks when you post it and asking for opinions not everyone is going to like it.

They can't use 3rd party application uploads, they are just notifies not actual uploads to the Facebook server.

After hearing the huge controversial spark about this in the Media, News etc. I did a little research.
They can use your photos. Even though they say they wont, you NEVER know what the future could hold.

And second, if that Facebook content was not public, the site will respect the member's chosen privacy settings. In other words, if your profile and the photos you have uploaded to it are only accessible to people on your friends list, Facebook says it does not have the right to show those photos to anyone outside your friends list. thumbsup.gif
