Nothing expensive for the moment, so no Velvia tongue.gif

Ilford HP5 is a good cheap, easy to use black and white film.

Also, don't bother getting a scanner, get it scanned when you get it developed.

Well I have no idea what Velvia is anyway lol and I bought that film camera only because I want to take some serious b&w pictures so I don't really want to spend whole a lot of money on it.
I prefer digital only simply because I am not good enough at photography so I don't want to waste a lot of money on rolls of film lol.
I didn't know you could get it scanned when I get the film developed biggrin.gif and I have no idea which film I will have to buy either. I have heard someone say that the ISO speed on film are different compared to the sensors on dslrs, is that correct?

Yes, that is correct.
HP5 is a very good film to start on, it's relatively high speed, produces good results, and has a relatively large latitude.

You can then move to stuff that's more interesting like Delta 100/3200 or TMax.

Make sure you buy 36 exposure film, not 24.

Shooting on film is a way to get good, your exposures are limited, so you have to think about them more.

I actually liked shooting film SLR cameras. It was easier to get the lighting right because of the light meter inside, I loved that.

Digital Cams have light meters too tongue.gif

Ti be honest the old camera I used was fully manual, no light meter on it at all. That was a pain.

It's not that bad if you've got an external light meter.

I have been thinking of eos 3 or some medium format. I could buy the camera, 50mm 1.4 and scanner(that can be used to scan film allso) if i sold the 50mm 1.2.. That eos 3 would be great camera, it has eye controlled auto focus(!), weather seals and great metering, but some medium format would allso be really cool. But again dunno if i should sell the lens..

Medium format by far, 35mm is pretty much a dead format, in terms of no professionals are using it anymore.

You won't find a good negative/slide scanner for any reasonable price, but you can always just use a normal flatbed scanner to scan in prints.

If you did sell the lens, how much would you get for it?
