i think i got 10 gb of photos @ 1mb average so 10,000 pics off my current camera which i had since dec 2005 not many but i seem to haev long breaks of not taking photos

So why do you delete the shutter count everytime you format your card?

It doesent delete the shutter count, only the file numbering on the memory card
