Obviosly I use postprocessing for my pics, I work on color and contrast usually.

so you have worked on ur pictures with the nice colours in photoshop and canon software - they're not just straight from the camera?

do you know where i could find a guide to tweeking my photos to get as nice as colours as urs have mate?

I think you are referring to my other pics since these are in B&W...
But yeah, only photoshop, with the camera I try to get the pic as neutral as possible.

About guides...
I can recommend a book:

Professional Photoshop by Dan Margulis

This is the book I refere to when I teach my photoshop classes.

I don't really like her arms, but I like the curve she makes with her hip.

Often my models are not models at all. I am actually surprised on how people can adapt.

Well the easiest way is to open it with windows photo gallary, click fix, click adjust colour, then drag the Saturation slider as far left as possible
if you wish to do this in camera, look your user manual as this varies

hope this helped. smile.gif

Hmmmm..... not really...
I am a real beginner here with anything related to digital photo...
I used to print my own black and white pictures back then ( long time ago...)..
I use a Canon Powershot, am i supposed to have a black and white option somewhere?
I recently learned last week about the macro function...
As I said, I am very new to this... ( but I love it!!! tongue.gif)

everyone has to start someware! smile.gif

i think ur gonna have to look in your user manual for the in-built function.

however, if you wish to convert the picture to b&w via software on the computer do this: (assuming you use vista)
open the location of the picture, double click to open the picture in windows photo gallary then click fix, click adjust colour, then drag the Saturation slider as far left as possible
