First, Thanx for your comments!

Jack is about 10 years old now. He loves the outdoors because he usually goes and curls up in some hay and goes to sleep. For his age he is actually really active.
Haha in the first one he was really fascinated with the camera, i wanted to get him running towards me but he stuck to my leg like glue, and when i put my lens down to try get a wide angle shot he ran round behind me. I think he was wanting more food as well, but i didnt have any on me at the time

i think the last one was a fluke coz i only took 2 pictures with him next to the tin, the first one was blurred
thats the only prob with this lens f/4-5.6 doesnt allow you to go above 1/80 without flash in cloudy conditions. The 1/125 i took the last pic with has been through the dpp tone assist tool
hahaha! Now I really really want a cat lol. It's great that you let him out because cats shouldn't be inside the house all the time it would become a prison to them after awhile. I still remember the cat we had everytime she wanted to go outside she would come up to me or my mom and look up at us and then run towards the door and sometimes even meowing quietly lol I still remember the expression it had on its face it's just freaking cute and I just couldn't say no to that hahahaha. I knew from the looks of that face in the first picture he desperately wanted something lol either food or needed your help with something

and shame on you for not giving him what he wanted lol but I really like when they walk around you sticked to your legs like glue hahaha just too hilarious.
hmm were you using full auto mode or something?

course on my 40D the flash never pops up unless I use full auto mode or press the flash pop-up button. It seems that you are in need of a better lens

either one of those 17-50 something F/2.8 lenses or 17-85 IS USM which I am currently using. Having IS in your lens is almost a must in many situations and if you can hold your camera steady you can go down to 1/5 second exposure but if I had 1100 bucks I would definitely buy the EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM lens.

oh lord i take non stop pictures of them just cant get a good one becaue they move so damn much ahah. my camera isnt good with capturing moving things either. I guess i will try and see whta i can do tonight

I know!!! I probably took around 1000 pictures of the cat my family used to have but I think only few of them turned out to be good and sharp. Cats are usually more active in late afternoon and evening and my old point and shoot camera was extremely crappy in low light. It kinda makes me wish that we still had the cat when I bought my first EOS 40D
