First, Thanx for your comments! biggrin.gif

Jack is about 10 years old now. He loves the outdoors because he usually goes and curls up in some hay and goes to sleep. For his age he is actually really active.

Haha in the first one he was really fascinated with the camera, i wanted to get him running towards me but he stuck to my leg like glue, and when i put my lens down to try get a wide angle shot he ran round behind me. I think he was wanting more food as well, but i didnt have any on me at the time tongue.gif

i think the last one was a fluke coz i only took 2 pictures with him next to the tin, the first one was blurred

thats the only prob with this lens f/4-5.6 doesnt allow you to go above 1/80 without flash in cloudy conditions. The 1/125 i took the last pic with has been through the dpp tone assist tool

hahaha! Now I really really want a cat lol. It's great that you let him out because cats shouldn't be inside the house all the time it would become a prison to them after awhile. I still remember the cat we had everytime she wanted to go outside she would come up to me or my mom and look up at us and then run towards the door and sometimes even meowing quietly lol I still remember the expression it had on its face it's just freaking cute and I just couldn't say no to that hahahaha. I knew from the looks of that face in the first picture he desperately wanted something lol either food or needed your help with something happy.gif and shame on you for not giving him what he wanted lol but I really like when they walk around you sticked to your legs like glue hahaha just too hilarious.

hmm were you using full auto mode or something? tongue.gif course on my 40D the flash never pops up unless I use full auto mode or press the flash pop-up button. It seems that you are in need of a better lens tongue.gif either one of those 17-50 something F/2.8 lenses or 17-85 IS USM which I am currently using. Having IS in your lens is almost a must in many situations and if you can hold your camera steady you can go down to 1/5 second exposure but if I had 1100 bucks I would definitely buy the EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM lens. sad.gif

oh lord i take non stop pictures of them just cant get a good one becaue they move so damn much ahah. my camera isnt good with capturing moving things either. I guess i will try and see whta i can do tonight biggrin.gif

I know!!! I probably took around 1000 pictures of the cat my family used to have but I think only few of them turned out to be good and sharp. Cats are usually more active in late afternoon and evening and my old point and shoot camera was extremely crappy in low light. It kinda makes me wish that we still had the cat when I bought my first EOS 40D sad.gif

haha yes hes one cool cat!!
i tend not to use a flash with animals, because it might frighten them, or damage their eyesight at close range because its much more sensative than ours.
nah i cant stand the full auto always sets ISO too high, and pops the flash up when i dont need it to. instead i used P and semi-auto (Tv)

jack is a moody cat and he will scrat with you if he gets cranky lol biggrin.gif

i gave him what he wanted after the photos coz he was a very good boy. tryed to get a shot of him eating but it would have just been of the back of his head lol!! he luvs his dindins biggrin.gif

e/ what u need to do mate is get him in one of them moods where he will just lock his eyes on somthing, like wave somthing he likes in front of him. he should freeze, and open his eyes wide! Then take the shot smile.gif

aww lol. Well I remember using the flash on my cat back in the days and she didn't get frightened but I knew she didn't like it at all because she would just walk away or keep her eyes closed for a moment lol. So I tried not to use the flash when she was looking directly at me. I thought such an old cat like yours would have stopped scratching people long ago lol but I guess it must be a male cat thing - lol.

Well lol I am sure when they said pets not allowed means all animals well maybe except for those small ones like rats or fish or spiders, ewww lol.
Besides I am not really a dog person and IF I ever get a dog I would want a large one like yours biggrin.gif or a German shepherd or a collie smile.gif course I really hate some of those tiny dogs who are just plain annoying and ugly lol. Well I guess I am dreaming again but one day I would want to get a house with a nice backyard and a cat and maybe a dog too and it would be hilarious to walk a dog while having a cat following you laugh.gif.

hahaha. LMAO That actually make me look at your signature again lol and I still laugh at it everytime I see it. It's just so unusual and hilarious. It really reminds me some of the scenes I saw in some of those documentaries on Animal Planet where a cheetah caught an old and huge uhh grass eating animals hahaha don't remember the name of that particular animal.
