the pics are ok but here are a few tips to improve your photography:

- Don't be lazy and shoot everything from the same height (standing position). Wide angle lens really benefit from perspective.

- Think more before you shoot, look into the viewfinder and check the borders for stuff you don't like.

- Try and find the correct exposure, take more than one pic of the same changing exposure to compare.

- When using a wideagle watch for vertical lines (sides of buildings, trees etc...), they look much better when they are straight.

- When using a wideangle try to put something in the foreground of the frame to avoid the "casual emptiness".

Cheers.

haha I find the first one funny because I probably do too much of that sometimes like when I got down on my knees in the middle of a busy street lmao or lay on the ground to take a picture of a tall building. Well I am not saying that my pictures turned out any better than those posted in here but at least I tried lol even though I do had people honking at me or pointing at me and telling their friends that I am a dumb tourist.
Well those are some very useful advice and I for one will try to remember them the next time I go out and take pictures. smile.gif

I always shoot in akward positions, I don't really care if people are looking at me weird.

The best tip overall tip I can give is:

You don't HAVE to shoot if you don't like what you see in the viewfinder.
Shoot only when you think it wil translate into a nice image.
This forces you to think alot more before pressing the shutter release.

Yeah I guess too often I would do the opposite. I mean sometimes I would see things that amaze or amuse me so I just quickly lift my camera and press the shutter button without really checking thoroughly through the viewfinder to see if I really liked the view I saw through it. I guess I really should stop acting like a hyperactive 5 yr old and take my time to get good composition and put some effort in trying to make my pictures more interesting. Thanks again for the advice wink.gif

Haha - I knew something like this was coming up. Thanks happy.gif I'm waiting for summer, to be honest. I just don't feel like taking pictures in the winter and actually giving effort into it. ohmy.gif

haha. I didn't know you hate the winter that much. I mean as a very good hockey player I thought you just love the winter. It's extremely nice outside today and I wouldn't be surprised that it's at least plus 5 degrees outside right now so maybe you will find it warm enough to go outside and take some serious pics lol jk

I don't care about the cold, geez lol >< It's the APPEARANCE I don't like. If the cold was THAT bad, I would not be playing hockey.

Yeah I guess you are right about the boring appearance I mean everything is either brown (naked trees) or white lol and I guess living in a small town makes it even worse because there aren't whole a lot of buildings to take pictures of. About the cold weather, I kinda noticed how super fast the temperature here can drop. I mean around the noon it was sooo nice and warm that I saw people walking around with just a tshirt ohmy.gif but when I went out earlier to take some pics of the sunset it became really cold sad.gif so I had to come home early so I wouldn't freeze to death lol.
