Every review I see on it I read "Loud" or "Noisy" somewhere in it.
That's why I chose the 75-200mm L over this.

But I do see a lot of nice images produced with this lens. IS is a good function.

it's just the IS of the lens, the 70-200 2.8 is is VERY loud
