It can do if you shoot at f32 wink.gif

how the hell do you do that? I mean at least the lens I have goes down to f/22 as narrowest

You get a decent lens tongue.gif Strange that yours only goes p to f22, the kit lens that came with my D50 goes up to f27.

oh I think it goes down to f/22 only at the shortest focal length which is 17mm and I believe at the maximum focal length, 85mm it would go all the way down to f/32... so I guess to achieve an aperture that narrow I would have to use the maximum focal length ohmy.gif

Which is fine, although even f22 should give you a more than adequate depth of field.

ahh now I get it! lol I mean you use wide aperture to create strong background blur and very narrow to achieve the opposite effect lol that's so obvious biggrin.gif
Thanks!

I knew there was a way! But my camera doesn't go that high - lmao. Hmm. Didn't check my wide angle lens though, to see if it can go that high. But I highly doubt it. What kind of lens do you get? Just any that can go that high? I shall have to try this next time hehe.

Nice picture. In Alaska sometimes the moon gets ridiculously big in the sky and hella orange. Hopefully it happens again soon.

Haha yeah I can imagine, and Alaska it's hell of a lot more beautiful, I'd love to travel there sometime. They have nice cruise ships you can go on don't they?

Just try whatever the highest f-stop is, f32 shouldn't be neccesary.

I just checked Dpreview and it says that your Sigma 10-20 has a minimum aperture of f/22 so it can't get narrower than that sad.gif
I think those zoom lenses with long focal length (probably 50mm or higher) can get up to f/32 but I could be wrong though
