Yeah, I think my resolution is off. But if I switch it to recommended settings, it's too small. I can't see small font when I'm sitting farther away.

hmm. What's the recommended settings for your monitor? Mine is 1125x854 and I can see quite small fonts when sitting more than a meter (4 ft) away. I am not really satisfied with my monitor and actually thinking about to buy a better one probably like the one I had awhile ago, a 22 inch widescreen. From what I have learned LCD monitors shows the highest quality images when using the recommended settings so maybe you should consider to get a larger monitor smile.gif I know Futureshop and BestBuy do have some insane sales from time to time lol

dpp is canon's sofware. and if you go into your custom function menu you can set the camera to remove the noise of its shots. The 450D takes loads of the chroma noise away, you should try it. If you dont have a fast card ur screen may go blank for a while after u take the pic. i think there are 2 settings a long exp. setting and a high iso setting. smile.gif

e/ yeah ur right you should always just ignore the spammers and report them. replying to them encourages them to spam more.

oh! lol well I do have a lot of those custom functions activated like the high ISO noise reduction and ISO boost so I can use ISO 3200 in some extreme cases even though I am glad that so far I haven't had the need to do that course I know the noise would be severe lol. AND I do not buy cheap crappy memory cards for my camera tongue.gif I still have the two Sandisk Extreme III I used with my first EOS 40D and they are probably the best cards for my current camera.

I know about Extreme IV but the higher speed offered by those won't do any good on my camera because it's not built to support the higher speed. I think the newer EOS 50D and Nikon D300 do though

hmm It does look a lil bit less sharp lol but I know that picture is a lil bit out of focus or something to the left but in middle it's quite sharp at least for a picture taken at 1/5 second handheld tongue.gif
Are you using a 19 inch monitor? lol mine is a crappy 17 inch LCD that's why I want to get a bigger one, preferably 22inch biggrin.gif ok I definitely need a better job lol. So what settings are you using now?

EDIT: lol I also see that your monitor has enlarged my picture which is probably the main reason why it got blurry/blurrier lol

Ya, it enlarges the picture. I think I know why. Press Ctrl + scroll up or down.

HAha - I figured that one out on my own. Accidentally did it one day and I was like "wtf why is everything small???"

And then I get this tiny shit font when I put it so it looks actually decent (photo wise).

Settings are at 1280 x 960.

haha I guess that's one of the advantages of being hyper lol JK. It's a very useful thing to know course sometimes i do have problem reading some of the reviews and articles especially when I am tired and seeing double biggrin.gif.

About my photo again lol I guess I will really need a tripod to take some absolutely sharp pictures especially if I get an ultra wide lens like yours which doesn't have image stabilizer.
