I see. Are you still using your old and very light tripod? I've started looking for one too and from what I have read those light and very portable tripods are pretty crappy and not very durable and the "legs" tend to get bent after awhile and they also tend to shake because of the wind so I guess I will have to avoid those nice looking, light weight and cheap tripods even though yours really looks nice and all. I think that shot would have looked a lil bit weird if it only had the shadow of your tripod in it. hmm You really should get a wireless remote for your camera since you seem to use your tripod quite a lot and the remote for your camera is very cheap too

Yeah, I've already looked at one

the store here sold out of em - lol.
Oh yeah I'm still using my old tripod. It still shakes, tho. I think it won't really matter much if the wind is high, there is a somewhat heavy object on the top of your tripod and it makes it more "wobbly" but maybe my physics are wrong. There are things I don't like about my tripod, but it's the first so it's ok for now.
I saw a really nice tripod in Regina and it was made of fiber, I think. The same stuff hockey sticks are made of, except this was a lighter fiber. I could lift it with my pinky - lol. The price was outrageous too. Sure, it's a light tripod, but all tripods have their pros and cons. If you want a light one, sure go for it, risk the legs being bent, whatever. I think if you spend some good bucks on a tripod, you should get a quality one, and the legs, should NOT break or bend.
