totally jealous of your wide!

I work a lot for my age so I can buy all this gear btw*

And, the Pocket wizards would be an investment as I can see myself using them for years to come.

Wireless trigger because I like doing night photography, but have been avoiding it without a tripod/shutter so I won't have camera shake.

Tripod is from Christmas though, I picked it out and my mom bought it so I've seen it's one I want but it's wrapped and
I don't get it until Christmas biggrin.gif

Joystick is just sexy, only cost $119 here. Really good for outdoor, which is what I do mostly.

yeah baby!

wtf is a pocket wizard + dont tell me to google one - i cant be bothered. and i dont get a +1 with google, do i?

why the wireless trigger? you have to point it at the front of the camera (thats where the main sensor is) its ok for self portraits, but not for night work

thats why i like to stick to wires, but im sure u hab a good reason for it wink.gif

e/ im prob wrong, so correct me if ive said anything retardish

Not a big deal, you don't have to be directly in front you can be to the side or just put the
trigger really close to it. It's indented so I do not have to touch the camera at all to trigger the photo, so I don't get any camera shake.

Pocket Wizards are professional quality wireless transmitters/transceivers. I can attach one to the camera, and one to the flash
making my flash have 100% wireless ability.
I can put the flash behind a subject for back light, to the side, top, bottom, anywhere.

They do what every other wireless flash transmitters do, they are pretty much the Apple to a PC.
Overpriced, but look nicer smile.gif

uhmm I agree with Doyleo. The wireless triggers are infrared so u have to stand in front of the damn sensor to actually trigger it properly. Oh well, they only cost 30$

my recommendation btw would be to WAIT before spending all that. I know how u feel though cuz I went through the exact same path (kinda the reason I have a 70-200 2.8...) I just love buying things without thinking about what I really need. Kinda regret that lol. with 2 grand i could have bought 3 strobes 3 lightstands and still had enough left over for a couple backdrops!!

pockwizards can go up to 1600 feet away... not just the other side of the room.

For othersideofthe room trigers u go for cactus V2's that cost like... 30$ for a transmitter and receiver lol.

Like I said, it's an investment. I'm 15 right now in the path to becoming a commercial photographer, Pocket Wizards would last a long time.
Through university.
