hmm well if you are looking for image quality then you may want to consider buying a dslr. think the cheapest NEW dslr would probably be one of those Olympus E-series. I saw an ad like a month ago in Sweden and they were selling it for less than half the price as Canon XSI/450D!! I dont know how good it is but a DSLR is a dslr
even the crappy Nikon D40 can produce some nice pics
