well I guess everyone has his/her preferences but I think most photographer would go for image quality before speed if that makes sense lol

ye but at the bikepark, 3 fps is not enough. the sport is to fast.
and a dslr @ 5 fps+ is too expensive as an additional item for my hobby. iam spending enough money in bikeparts and stuff.

hmm I am not sure how much you paid for your camera but I think if you dont mind getting a used DSLR, eos 30D would be a nice alternative, believe it got 5fps and excellent image quality
