the editing u did tbh is pretty much what any one can do that doesn't have a clue of what ps of capable of.
its just some filters

@ chantal easier way to select the part u needed is using a quick layer mask, bottom left icon,it might not be faster but way more accurate.
theres lots of way to make a nice selection in ps

yeah i know lol but it was meant to be a minor edit because the photo itself would be the main uh art otherwise I would have to post this in graphic design or whatever
well if you have better ideas please tell me or even better post the results smile.gif

Yeah, I knew there were other ways. His way doesn't make any sense though (I actually never knew there were filters for that kind of thing - lol). I'd rather have more accuracy than to do it faster though. I'm not too familiar with the layer masks though, is that how you do a selective coloring method? I mean, it must be similar, right? I did use a layer mask from this tutorial: http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tutorials/or/selective-coloring.html I used it with the signature I have now.

I haven't done a whole lot of photoshop though.

lmao sorry if i didnt make any sense to ya. well I just "drew" a line with lasso tool around these two and when the circle is complete it automatically selected everything inside that circle... lmao well his method sounds cool lol I am quite new to photoshop anyway have only used it for a few months and mainly for post processing my photos and not for heavy graphic design stuff

Just try the selective coloring with layer masks, I think it's easier, since if you make a mistake you can go back. Check out the tutorial (it's really easy) and you will see what I mean.

ok I just did this according to the selective coloring tutorial lol and it is a very cool and accurate way to select and change colors smile.gif ty
btw lol I may should have used a different title for this topic I mean this photo is not meant to be heavily edited and I believe some minor editing like changing the background would be more appropriate and achieve better result.

to the jerk who seemed to be surprised to see a European woman having a non white child, well it is quite common here that couples who either can't have children of their own or just choose to adopt a child from Asia or even Africa. or having a child through interracial marriage or relationship lol heh after all 21st century and multiculturalism is a very important part of our society

Ya, I get how you did it. Now that I've learned the selective coloring thing, I'd almost rather do it that way.

Eh not bad, but i dont see why you would use normal filters to make 'art'. and the picture is not really a good stock sad.gif

ok thanks. You know a lot more than me when it comes to graphic design course ive seen all those cool signatures you have made in the past lol thats why I was asking you for some ideas. also you seem to be the only one on here who seem to be kind and helpful while the others are just a bunch of kids who only brag or bash instead of giving ideas or helping rolleyes.gif

ok there are several reasons why I like this pic. I just like the peaceful way the woman and her child walk and holding hands with a usual stressful big city scene in the background and the fact that the woman adopted a child who look quite different and seem to love her as if its her own is just beautiful, I think. oh well I am quite new to people photography so IF any of you have better suggestions or meaningful criticism please tell me tongue.gif
