i agree, but let me explain what i mean..

Most of these pictures dont really have a good composition, for example the graffiti. It usually isnt a very nice effect when you place the main subject of a picture in the center, it makes the picture a bit boring. so you might want to try to place it a bit out of the center, it gives a nice effect. Also i see that you have only tried ( at least what you posted here) horizontal pictures, you could try different angles. For Landscape pictures like the first one, you should try to put something in the foreground to put more depth into the picture, when you dont have that, the picture often becomes boring. although these are not so bad for a first try, keep practicing and eventually you will be a good photographer wink.gif

the cracked window one is good. i've got a d40 aswell, careful with the autofocus. it sucks.
