is quite sharp and the bokeh effect is not that bad for the price you paid for lens. So you must be from uk if you stated £.
on what camera body did you use it?

i had a feeling this was a digital photo, but the lens kept throwing me off so i guessed it was adapted :)

M-E sounds lovely though...

:) its just a simplified m9, even the exif data show the camera as an m9 - leica are lazy. i will stick up a version with exif data

you make it sound as if a m9 is something people buy without thought, like milk :P

If you have used rangefinders before then i think leica m (any of them) are the best cameras i have ever used.

And i don't mean features wise, as they are very basic, centre spot metering, flash systems out dated 30 years ago, no live view or video mode etc, but the user experience and the way it makes you feel whilst shooting is simply an experience like no other!
also ofc i think the image quality is second to none. a leica m9 with a zeiss plannar or summicron is the ultimate setup.

not snobbish at all, just lol'd at the matter-of-fact way you said it.

i've admired the m for quite a while, and although i think the ease and efficiency of dslrs are more practical, i love my rangefinder for its construction and feel.
