This will be my first DSLR ever and I am a beginner to photography. I've made up my mind to get a Nikon D3100 as it seems like the best bet for my money.
As I'm just trying to find the best deal on it as I would like to purchase it tomorrow, I found this camera
http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/nikon-nikon-d3100-14-2mp-dslr-camera-with-af-s-dx-nikkor-18-55mm-vr-lens-kit-d3100/10153746.aspx?path=ab5a393617840ebaa3f13db553d9c990en02

but then I also found this which seems to include the same camera and lens with more accessories for a lower price!?!

Thanks everybody!

On the less expensive one under product features it says it has a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens.

The one for $429.99 would be a better buy wouldn't it?

Again I'm am going to be a very amateur photographer and will get better as I snap more pictures

second link not working anymore.
d3100 was my 1st camera as well. Amazing piece of equipment for that price.
Just remember... there are prices and prices. The lowest price I found on amazon. Usually you get what you pay for. Just be careful at the lenses. The VR ones are more expensive and worth the money. as for the D3100.. always get AF-S ones since camera doesn't have internal AF. trust me worth the money especially for a beginner. later on you can buy cheaper ones and pass to manual focus.

Camera bags/tripods etc.. same you get what you pay for. don't be attracted my the amount of the equipment but the quality.

Actually ended up doing this as I wasn't able to get a ride out there, and I've been thinking for a while actually. Thinking about actually just spending an extra $100 and getting a canon t3i as I might end up doing some video as well.
549.99 from blacks, and I should be able to get a case and spare battery with it for free. Would just go get it from future shop, but I'm very new to photography so I like how they have their absolute customer satisfaction, give me a
one hour tutorial just to show me the basics, and e.t.c. Get a couple other things with it as well. They seem very reputable.

I own a T3i but I focus only on video. I just like the option of stills while I am in the field. I do not know that I would suggest one over the other but keep your brand in mind when you go to upgrade for the lenses.

Gonna go to blacks, and see what they recommend for me, and I'll look at the pro's and con's of each in store, see what they feel like e.t.c.
D3100 or D5100, or Canon T3i seems like it will be the best. Again I guess the best way is to try them all out.
