Anyone know of any digital SLR's that have only wheels or places on the front/lens portion of the camera that let you choose the Aperture and Shutter speed, etc. Instead of doing it with buttons on the LCD?

Lol. I didn't describe it well. Look up the Pentax K1000. It's a film SLR. I basically want a digital SLR setup the same way. If that makes any sense.

See how the aperture setting is like a part of the lens? And it's a dial on top for shutter? That's what I mean.

Lol, are there ones with aperture setting on them, but can also have auto-focus if needed? I think I'm being too picky, lol.

its called an aperture ring (googlw it and u will find loads)
and yes you can get it on lenses that work both that way and automatic (however i seem to remember some cameras have a problem when its being used manually - might be wrong, could just be a setting)
the previous nikon 50mm f1.8D had the ring (non "G" lenses should have the ring = "D")
i dont know of any canon lenses currently on the market with the ring, but believe they will bring it back as it is better suited to videography

why do you want this feature tho? it is easier to do it with the camera/electronically

When I originally learned how to use all the manual setting on an SLR, it was on that Pentax I posted the photo of. I'm learning to adjust to the electronic version on my digital SLR, but I just got so used to the other way, that I kinda want to go back.

And yes, aperture ring, is what it's called. I knew that, but completely forgot the name. If it's available on lenses, then I'd at least want to try and compare.

Thank you all for your help! Now I just have to get a new lens. =-P
