Just a video camera or a DSLR that does video? Because the Canon Rebel T3 does 720 video.

A video capable dslr is as good as a super expensive video camera.
Only downside is that the T3 does not have auto focus during video.

this isnt true, a expensive video camera will always shoot sharper with a higher fps even though video on dslr has improved a lot, it will never be as good as a machine that solely exists to capture video.

at the same time it is a good alternative because not a lot of people can afford/want to invest in expensive video cameras and the general people can afford decent hybrid photo/video cameras to make content thats decent because there are worse.

My friend got me into this camera, the one I have is a lil better then his. Its not a great as a canon but it does the job, i film and edit all my parkour videos with it.

Sony Handycam HDR-CX110

Total I paid prbly 525$ Candian, But seen a crap load on *** for 250$ If I had a a way to buy it offline a couple years ago I would have done that.

1stly a entry lvl slr with hd is superior to a entry lvl camcorder with hd - which is the main point we getting at

if that was the case why would they shoot any movies / scenes with an slr? there is alot of top stuff shot with the 5d2

e: LOL at your "sharper" comment
