24-70 is better yes, but then you'll have to get another lens, 24-105 is more flexible and good awesome start if you're forced to have 1 lens only.

i will buy body + flash and with next pay day ill buy 35mm L... just thinking i suppose do two weddings in few months (yeah i know ME?!?!) and that 24-105 would be best choice but on other hand 35 its pure sex -.-

I have rented both lenses and the 24-70 is by far superior in quality!
Get that right away!!!
