Ok had a horse assignment today, and the stallion part was indoors.... low light, high speed, aweful conditions.... almost got run over by the stallion on the picture many times... got me scared at some point...
Had my iso at 1600 if I remember well, using 7D and 50 mm 1.4 lens.
The results are like I expected, crappy.
I need to make the best out of this example and need help with it.
This is the original file reduced to 400 kb.
How would you improve this to make it... presentable...

this is my try at it(i even made a bw version but considering your previous inputs i assumed you'd prefer color, if you want me to post the bw version aswell tell me)

How did you do it to keep so much detail on the horse?
I try the black and white here and it doesn't have the look of your version..

Thanks! I didn't do anything too complex. Just sharpened it a bunch then used a levels layer to adjust the midtones and dodged/burned a bit. I also took out the logos on the sign lol.

It looks good.

Very nice original photo though, very nice stop action.
