I've read a nice article about B&W.
I usually don't like it but that read changed my opinion just a little.
So I decided to experiment some B&W conversion. I chose what is usually considered a difficult field for B&W: landscape.
Took a couple of pics that could fit well and played with some settings, while following the arrticle's guidelines the best that I could.
This is what I got.
Waiting for criticism from you all of course!

I think if they were less dark you could see more of the grey scale and appreciate the lines better, especially in the first picture :)
Do you have a color version of them?

Folling that article, it's made on purpose to let the eye catch the lines only.

Oh well, never mind.

This one was taken from Astragony, which I consider to be the best photographer I have in my f/l on Flickr.

If you compare them with the landscapes posted before by alpi (flickr link) the sky is too clean.
For this conversion it would be better if there was something going on in the air, dangerous clouds for example. maybe a flock of birds.

or just use a good composition to start with. that image is so heavy on the right side i think it might rotate its own canvas 90 CW if ur not careful.
