After months of research/looking for a deal, I finally ordered my camera today. Also signed up for a Digital Photography Fundamentals class at my college. Pretty psyched.

Ended up getting a Canon t2i body for $380 and the EF-S 18-135mm Lens for $290. Figured it was too good of a deal to pass up (at least on the body)

I'll be sure to post up the very first picture of my dog when I get it for your pleasure.

Well I've been reading through The Art of Photography this summer and it's been great. I also purchased Creative Landscape Photography and I'll be starting it soon.

I'll let you know though, thanks! I just can't wait to start. I already have a list of places that I want to hit as soon as possible.

edit and ya, the canon tech's discount was amazing lol. I can get a refurbed 5d ii for under 2000 from him down the line lol.

a new 5dii is 2300. Don't think 300$ is worth the refurb.

Ah that's true. Didn't realize the new price was so low.

Either way, I'll be sticking with this body for at least a few years.

Wait until the 5d III comes out. People will be getting rid of 5d Ii's like no tomorrow. It's stupid because it's such a good camera.

if u have any pets u should take a shot with no DOF and just the dogs eyes in focus.
