I had left a copy of the flyer I had made to a place where they have artists of all kinds expose their art, paintings, photography and others...
A lady just called me saying she loves my horse pictures and is offering me 3 months of exposition!!!
It is far away though, cause the next available spot is February-March-April 2012...
She will see if she can combine me with another artist sooner.
Thing that helps, she loves horses!!!

I'll have to shoot more though cause I don't have very many....
These are the ones I have so far:

I am so happy!!!

First step: Take more pictures
Second step: have them enlarged and framed
Third step: Price them (the hardest part)

Now I hope people will like them enough to buy them!

great news
very important is to not underprice yourself
1stly it gets you stuck in the low price bracket
and more importantly if you price higher ppl feel that you are good (its a psychological thing)

obv dont go too high, it is a difficult task to price photo's/art

If you're going to do an exposition, I'd not use any of those fake backgrounds or large borders, it would look weird.

Good luck! :) Sounds like fun, I've never tried that.

I love this picture, but why the editing!

Congrats on the opportunity. However, most of your edits imo don't seem to enhance the photos. The edits make the images look flat and foggy. Still, if that's what got you the job, than it's good to make the client happy.

I think a lot of those pictures would look better without the vignette and a bit less post-processing.

Congrats though, hope everything works out for you.

congrats!

oh and i think you should remove the last photo on first page and last photo from second page. bromont 247 needs new crop with more room on up and maybe hint on right, also you should think of removing some other shots too. when you are doing this sort of portfolio, you need to be REALLY critical on what you add there, only add the best and some of those shots arent nearly as good as your best, so better to remove them or they just make you look worse to clients.

What is a vignette?

Can you tell me the title of the picture you think really isn't good? (number and all?)
Cause I added one and not sure if you mean last before or after I added the new one...

The backgroun is so very ugly I had to hide it...
And because of the flying mane and tail, it's hard to blur only the background..
Unless you have an idea for me to do this...
I'm open to all suggestions :)

How does the one with the rainbow look?
It is a rainbow picture I had taken myself and I removed the ugly background of the horse picture to put the rainbow instead....

I want to take more pictures, but it's an ugly time of the year for horses now, as they still have long hair and always roll in the mud..... ewwwww
I looked in my older folders but can't find anything decent... :(
