I don't understand much of those graphs, but the results for the xsi are not too encouraging!!
That means I must find some money fast to upgrade my camera!!

You know how many shots 26,000 is? It takes ages! I don't even have that many shots in two of my cameras

my 1000D had 7000 actuations after one year

I took over 1000 in the past 2 weeks...

One horse photoshoot that last one hour, I may take over 500 pictures

let´s put it that way....... your shutter propably wont crash because you´ll most likely upgrade your camera within the next 1-2 years.

oh and you might wanna concentrate on your shooting style, so you dont have to release 10 times for 1 decent shot

Since I`m using the 5D mark II I shoot like 1/3 of the amount of pictures I used to shoot, simply because I got more good shots.

When you do a photoshoot with horses in action, you NEED to hold the trigger while the horse is running, so that you have a chance to get the perfect pose...
Horses are not like dogs or cats...
If you rely only on your eye/finger reflex to push the button at the right moment, it's already too late.
Also, when the horse is moving, you may think you have the perfect shot, only to realize on the computer that the focus is not right on the eye...

I also only have the kit lens and a 50 mm lens... so I rely on luck most of the times
