Ok so i have a budget of £500 before my next paycheck, whats the first lens i should buy?

i was look at possibly the 17-40L and 50 1.8?



what other options?

70-200 F4 L, IS if you can afford it.

You'll be surprised how good a canon 50/1.8 on the FF 5D is. And no, i'm not joking at all. I can provide some samples tonight once i get home.

You can always get the 50/1.4 or a tamron 28-75.

i much prefer lower focal ranges and my budget in future will be bigger so i plan to get the 70-200 2.8 in future months.

i think im just going to break my savings and get the 24-70L so that i have a decent multi purpose lens to start with

I'd buy a 35L instead of the 24-70L. Trust me, this comes from someone who owns both. My 24-70L is only used by my second shooter

oh man i hate the fact that i cannot make up my mind, i wish i hadn't converted to canon, then i wouldn't have to worry about new lens :/
