I'm not one to prefer shots that aren't profitable, but this is really interesting. Looks old or scary movie-ish.

Thanks!
I thought about making it a bit brighter, but I liked the way the shadows enclosed it.
Gave it a cool feeling imo.
Almost like tunnel vision :P

Thank you :]
I was thinking about using it as a sig for myself, but if you look closely you can see 2 lines.
The most noticeable is right underneat the star-shadow where the 2 pieces of paper overlap.
I didn't notice it until I uploaded it :[
I went and tried it again, but the wick had burned so much that it didn't give off as bright of a light so you couldn't see the star

Unique shot! I think sk8n is referring that it could be sharper.

P.S- I would see if you can clone out the vertical line and the horizontal lines coming from it :P

The candle itself looks pretty sharp, atleast to me.
You can even see the creases at the "legs" of the star where it was molded.
There is obviously a soft glow around the edges from the shadows, but I like that effect.
And I tried cloning it out with the clone tool on the Canon software, but it sucks for clone tool <_<
I don't have Photoshop, nor do I know how to use it

Some may think it's crippling, and I do sometimes wish I had/knew how to use Photoshop.
That being said, I like being able to take a nice picture and not have to Photoshop it.
The most I do to my photos is what the Canon software does: crop/saturation/sharpness/hue/contrast/brightness

Alot of my friends I showed that "Chess" picture to thought I made that on a computer.
But in reality all I did was cropped it and barely changed the saturation

Yea the sharpness, but also it looks (atleast on my screen: 32 inch tv) like I see some jpg artifician here:

but maybe it's just my screen.

(I'm not talking about the vertical line)
