I spend the last two hours designing my own watermark. Opinions?

The chinese symbol is my last name in chinese.

I'm thinking i should redo the symbol.. doesn't have the "punch" to it. And seems like to much empty space on the bottom right.

where you aiming for making a watermark, or more of a logo/signature? because IMO thats a logo/signature.

A watermark should cover a good portion of the picture and be fairly transparent, which makes it much harder to edit out by someone trying to pirate your photos, yet still leaves the photo looking good, most watermarks i have seen run diagonally across the bulk of the picture...

A logo should only suffice as a logo when it is looked for and not be 'punchy' enough to distract from the image.

Yeah... it's probably more of a logo then watermark

@1page- i didn't mean it that way, the logo just looks meh. Made a slight edit and this looks better IMO.

I love the font and the chinese symbol, I'm not a fan of the composition tho...

First of all, use round corners instead of straight ones, it should look smoother.

Also, try leaving your name beside the symbol, and put "photography" under both of them.

I like the simbol but I would use a perfect square with a white line as I show here. And reduce a bit the simbol.
