I like the 2nd silhouette shot.

I see you shot thru a mesh fence on the 1st shot.

Unfortunately I like your camera better than these pics haha

Did you have a 1d mark II at one point? I thought I remember a few years ago we were talking and you were going to get a mk II.

I know, but I thought he was going for a 1D2 at one point, just wondering when (if) he upgraded.

Haha, were you quite abit away from the mosquito net? 105 @f/5.6 should be able to make the net invisible if you're up against it.

Geez what a lazy bum ;) jk
You should go out and take some nature shots because your 1Dmk3 is built for that. If you don't want to spend too much just get some older telephoto primes and you get some amazing shots of the wildlife :D

nope, i have had 400d, 40d and 1d mkI(had these two the same time). when i was looking for upgrade form 1d and 40d combo i was thinking 5d mkII or 1d mkIII, but i decided to go with mkIII.

heh. not much to see in the nature this time of the year tho, all the leaves have dropped and yesterday it snowed the first time, but now its just slush on the ground. i have actually been thinking of buying a new lens(i get few euros in few days). first i was thinking about samyang 14mm, then i started thinking about macro lens instead and one option would be selling my 24-105 and buying 17-40 and 70-200(not sure about tamron, sigma or canon f/4), but im not sure if 17mm is wide enough on 1.3 crop or 200mm long enough, not to mention that i would lose zoom between 40-70 range and IS. i like to have zoom in the tele end because foot zoom would scare the animals away easily.

i have been taking pic that i havent posted here, so these arent the only shots i have taken since i last posted :P

If you look hard enough there must be something interesting still out there like the bird you in your picture or squirrels and other urban wild life :D
I think you should get Samyang and save up for a Canon 70-200L IS zoom. I am saying IS because the IS versions are noticeably better than the non-IS ones and they are weather sealed which would be perfect for your 1Dmk3 :p
I am planning on getting the Samyang too but my problem is to find a vendor who actually sells it.
