Top 2/3rd part of the color image is gorgeous :). Gorgeous sky and buildings.

Bottom 2/3rd part of the b&w image is best :p. The sky seems off here :S.

That's amazing, however, I wish I could see it as though you were looking straight at the street going off into the distance, rather than it being cut off by the buildings. Still, great shot none the less.

The first one was taken just at sunset, so I managed to get a nice color in the sky. The second was taken at about 11pm, well after sunset, so the sky was kind of gray and not very great. That's why I decided on b&w for it, it looks better that way.

So do I - this shot is from the 25th floor balcony, and I have another friend who lives on the 40th floor but she has no balcony. I can't get much farther left in this building because his apartment is close to the edge, but it might be better from the 40th floor...we'd have to take the screen out though.

What lens did you use?
I think it's just not wide enough and if you could get higher up would have been even better.

Shot's at 18mm, 18-55 IS. It wouldn't matter if I went wider to the left because there's a wall there, but I agree about higher up. I'll try it next time I'm over there. I really wish I had a 10-22, I might get one soon. (more likely the Tokina 11-16 actually)

I like the colors & sharpness of this. Especially the little twinkle stars in the photo as well !

Tokina is a great lens. It's sharp, 9 aperture blades which means you get some really awesome "starbursts", f2.8 and most importantly it's cheaper than Canon's 10-22 :D
