so i'm lookin @ buying a new camera in the coming months
i'm contemplating buying 2x bodies, 1 of the smaller slrs (ie the olympus pens) and a full size SLR
just wondering if anyone has the smaller ones cause i wanna know what the lens cross compatability is like for different brands etc... mainly cause i'd rather spend 100-200$ on a converter than having 2x a lens with only different style fit to the camera if u get me
Thanx

i'm lookin @ having a smaller body one that is easier to take with me without a big bag such as
http://pen.olympus.com.au/ or http://www.sony.com.au/productcategory/e-mount-camera
for when i'm skating or in a situation where i don't wanna carry a big bag with me but i'd like to get something with lenses that can be used between both bodies if possible cause it would mean i could spend a bit more $$$ on each lens and use it more

not to be rude but what do you need a "larger" Dslr for? from what i've heard the Pen is a very nice camera, very capable little camera.

if anything read this article and really think about what you "want" or need in a camera.

i'm lookin @ studying photography and some of the courses i am lookin @ require a DSLR.
i understand that you don't need a good camera to take good photos but some of the things i want to photograph don't work due to my current camera not having all the features i'm lookin for

For college, you won't need a top of the range DSLR, but a midrange one would definitely help.
Just get a cheap compact or your skating stuff and spend the rest on a good body and some lenses.

It does all depend on your budget too, obviously.

Depends what you're trying to do, to be honest.

well i'm working atm so i'm hoping to spend a few grand on a camera or 2 and a few lenses
and wasn't planning on buying top of the range but i was thinking i'd spend $AUD 1000-1500 on a body then buy a couple of lenses,

$1500 should get you a reasonable body. Did you prefer new or is second hand okay? Could probably pick up something full frame for ~$1500.

Where abouts in Aus are you?
