Here's the real deal on street photography.

http://www.americansuburbx.com/

Check out this website. It has a plethora of amazing photographers with photographic essays. There is some absolutely gobsmacking work here.

Some of the real Masters of Photography on the site are: Walker Evans, Helmut Newton, Dorothea Lange, Eikoh Hosoe, Irving Penn etc etc

I encourage you guys to check out the facebook page (link is on the website) which updates daily with new content, which is probably better for viewing images as each photographer has a large group of images showcasing their work. Although the photographers have some very interesting words to say so don't skip that! :)

Some of this stuff sort of makes me want to throw everything I've learned out the window and start again.

I don't think there is enough talk about photographers and the aesthetics/rawness/delicacy of photography here.

Hope you guys enjoy it and come back to discuss!

I'm not so inspired by this type of photography... but that's me..

There is one photographer that someone posted a link to a while back..
Pictures of horses in a non traditional way, but oh so beautiful!!
I wish I had that link again, I can't even remember the name of the photographer.... :(

Touché!!

In fact, himself is the only person who will model for him :p
Either that, or his ego makes him want to take pictures of himself only so he can worship his own good looks

I guess it's not a genre for everyone.

It's the rawness and true depiction of the human condition that I love in documentary/street photography.

I agree with you. I plan on living on the streets for a while with only my camera to survive when I'm done with school.

I wouldn't be waving around a couple 5ds and big white lenses though haha :P

I'd probably sport a couple pentax super a's with a wide prime and a mid range prime

ofc not. I'd use the old Sony AX100 I have, which is with what I train interns with anyway.
