I just want to know what kind of cameras people often get the first time they get into photography

I started with a Casio point and shoot given to me few years ago on my b-day.

DSLR wise. I got a Canon Xsi (EOS 450D)

I got to use my dad's camera back then...... some 30 years ago...
It was either a Canon A1 or AE1 can't remember which one....
Film ofc... digital was not even there!!!

Hmmm Dslr is a lil bit above my price range i might have to work my way there right now i have P&S too

My first camera was a Sony A100. It was my mentor's. Before that, I had never owned one. Now I've seriously upgraded
This was on Jan of 2009. Only been at it for 1.5 yrs.

I think I bought my very first camera back in 2005. It was a HP Photosmart 945 and the reason was that I really wanted to take some pictures of the cat I used to have

my first own camera was a sony dsc-w55. One year ago I got myself a Canon Eos 1000D.

I never had any real camera before my DSLR
I bought a mobile phone with a camera better then the average, and when it broke I got a new phone and a dslr (nikon d3000)
