Have you been shooting anything lately?

cant say I like the editing whatsoever. It´s just not very appealing to me. I´d even say I prefer the unedited version, even tho it seems kinda boring. guess the problem is that you killed the whole texture with your editing, and the texture certainly would be the most important factor if you do such a shot.

I wanted the picture to be mostly my eye in focus So I did not care much about the stuff around it

ye nevertheless there are other things in the frame that you should take care of
If you want your eye to be in focus and look good, make sure there are no other disturbing things in the frame, or if so, make them look good aswell^^ ( in this case, certainly your face )
