the photos i took are just from a $115 dollar Point and shoot camera. if u arent dont want extreme detail/focus. just go point and shoot. im using this point and shoot to decide if i want to go up a notch to dslr.
my camera is on newegg. its the DSC-S2100 if u are interested.

a decent point and shoot is only going to run you in 100-150ish

one with more features, smaller design, LiIon batterys, etc maybe closer to $200-300

anything above that is just value adders like touch screens, better image stabilization, wide angle lenses, etc

i think entry level DSLR are like $450-500 minimum

Thank you so much. I chose this because it's actually kinda in my price range (sorta) http://www.dpreview.com/news/0801/08012411samsunggx20.asp anyone wanna tell me y/n please? I really liked the look of it... but I'm not exactly sure. http://www.dpreview.com/news/1001/10010506sonyA450.asp this one caught my eye too because of the price. If anyone wants to help, it would be greatly apreciated.

cameras are like picking out clothes,
you have to try one on and see if you like it.

but if youre not sure, look at the features and if you like it get it and start from there. :D

Alrighty, I'll probably go to the nearest place I can find that sells things like this, and are straight up about costs/prices/quality. Since I live in a small town I'll probably even be able to return it if I don't like, or even shoot pictures with them inside the store to try them out. (Especially if they think I'm gunna buy haha) Ty guys, you have all led me into the right direction. I don't know when I'll be able to get this so don't search for any photos from me haha xD
