If you got the bucks to burn or there is an ROI ... go for it. Otherwise why?

Nice lens choices. They're all exceptional glass.

But do you really need the IS for the Macro lens? I know it could be alot more versatile depending on how you use it, but it's essentially the same optics as the non-is version which is approx half the price.

No comment on the 24-70 but as for the 70-200 f/4L IS. What are you using it for? Reason i asked is because if you're doing sports photography etc. The f/2.8 non-is could prove very useful, but the downside is that it isnt' as sharp as the f/4L IS version.

I'm mostly a wedding photographer getting into other kinds of photography. I'm focusing a lot on sharpness.

I see i see. I guess the f/4L does have it's advantage in that front. Abit more versatile.. though the additional stop from the 2.8 might help in a dark church.

Why not get a set of primes if sharpness is one of your main concerns?

Ahh you're right about the 2.8. But I've got other tools at my disposal compensate dark churches. ^^

It's funny but did you know that back in the old days ... photographers used to do things to take away sharpness from their lenses in many cases, especially portrait? It's kinda funny how the complete opposite is eaten up by the mainstream TODAY. It's funny though in the last couple of years many photogs are going retro and figuring out how to get that nice hazy retro portrait look of yesteryear.

I guess though if you are making money ... it's all about what the customer wants.

True, but i rather have a sharp lens then a soft lens : /

I can alway make them look softer in post processing. :S

Perfect 3 (Canon) lenses for wedding photography.

I use a 70-200 f4 IS and a 24-70 2.8. These are both PIN sharp. I'll post an example shortly with the 70-200.
