The 2nd image has to be rendered differently, not the exact same as the 1st.
I've seen this correctly done on youtube before, I don't believe it works with still images, especially at such large sizes.

ok how to proceed by making such a image:
take a shot for the left picture - therefor focus the middle of your oject
then move your camera ~ 15 cm right (the distance of your eyes)
take the shot for the right picture
combine them in the programm of your choice: the left one left the right one right
proceeding by waching:
get shure you have both parts of the picture on the screen then
take one finger ~ 15 cm infront of your nose and focus it with your eyes
move the finger for- and backwards thill in the background of your finger the 3D picture apears
perhaps i find some time to make some picutres to explain but till then have fun trying
