Shot a lot of pictures lately since my friend is visiting from germany and I had to get off my lazy ass to show him around.
I am using my fisheye pretty often, it's a nice lens but kinda of hard to use, most of the pictures I take with it suck.
Still need to get use to it.

Enjoy:

I've commented on a few of those already on Flickr, but they're all gorgeous, you really do have some amazing architecture in Italy. I can't help but think some would look nicer if they were shot with a non distorting ultra wide angle lens though.

Yeah I know what you mean.
But it's hard to get as wide with a rectlinear lens.
Also, I don't have an ultrawide rectilinear lens XD... yet (I'm saving for the 14mm prime, but it's bloody expensive...)

Expensive is one way to put it :D I'd love to get the Nikon 14mm Prime, although the 14-24mm zoom looks pretty awesome too.

You can fix the distortion fairly easily with programs like Dx0 Mark, I'm pretty sure it's possible in photoshop also

Fisheye has too much distortion for photoshop. It's not even a proper lens defect as it's part of the lens design.
You need special sotware that defishes images.
I have one, but it does not completely remove distortion (only vertical lines are fixed) keeping it more natural looking.
Still haven't produced a nice image with it to show though.

the 14-24 completely destroys the nikon 14 prime, wish they had such a lens for canon.

I'll check the photo boards that I normally browse for software that they use and I'll let you know :)

Well, it's not really worth me considering buying one untill I either buy a new film camera and/or a full frame DSLR.
