I like this composition in my picture, but it was hard with the sun going down and lowed light available..
To get good results with my little camera, I need to shoot with 80 ISO settings...
Otherwise it gets really too noisy, like this one :(
I tried to look around on GIMP to do something about the noise, but couldn't find anything..

This was a one shot deal..
Just after I took the picture, one horse put its head between the planks to get closer to me (that is where the cat is looking) and the cat then got so scared it ran in the barn.... with the dead mouse in its mouth... ewwwww
I made sure he took the dead thing outside the barn, no need a rotting mouse inside to stink and bring more flies...
Once outside, the cat ate the whole thing, starting with the head...
I took some more pictures, but I will spare you the details... (kinda gross)..

Haha it's gross but cool! :D I encourage you to show the other photos ^_^. I understand it's hard to take photos in the sunset with the little cameras. I used to own one myself and arg it was hard, but it makes you get better! :)

Nice shot Marie and not easy to find such a situation.

I also like the sun shining onto the cats fur
and how it looks over there to the horse towards the sun. :)

Looks like round 1 goes to the cat. Highly doubt there will be a re-match :D

Thank you Malte

Oh, there will be a rematch, those mini-rats reproduce so fast (and eat so many of my young trees over the winter :( )
This is the barn cat, and it's kinda fat.... and I don't feed him...
Seeing the way he ate that mouse, I know it wasn't his first !!! :p

I think I will pass on that... unless you really want to see the cat chewing on the mouse, and the headless thing 5 seconds before there was no mouse at all...
Seriously I grossed myself out looking at them again this morning lol !!
If you REALLY insist, I'll send you a couple via pm ahhahaha!!!

I like it, the cat fits in with the warm sunlight.

Then you realize what's in the cat's mouth :) Cool capture

Thanks!!
I was more happy with the shot itself than the quality, because of the grain and I would have liked to have the eye in better focus, but the cat was walking towards me, and I kept backing up to get a good frame..
I didn't crop the picture..

yeah, it isn't always easy to get photo in exactly the quality you want, especially when it's animal photos,
but I think this one is quite good. Also a nice looking cat you got, Marrie :)

hahaha! This one is awesome! I used to have a cat who did that all the time and sometimes she even bring the poor animals she caught inside lol some of them were still alive :(
I have to agree that it is really gross watching them eat which I did a few times out of curiosity and even took a few pictures lol and it seems those mice are rather crunchy too :D
