Not a huge fan of zoos since its pretty clear most of the animals aren't happy living in tiny enclosures, but it was free today for San Francisco residents... Anywho, who are a couple of the ones that came out well.

1. Golden Eagle

2. Prairie Dog

3. Peacock

4. Maya

5. Obligatory tiger picture in memory of her fallen friend, Tatiana.

Awwwwwwwwww! The prairie dog.... soooo cute! Nice picture on that one.... I see them a lot where I live, they run wild and there are waaaaaaaaaaay too many of them... but they are soooo cute. They get hit by cars a lot though :(

Some of your photos are not working, so I could only see a select few.

Maya is so cute! Great bokeh and nice colors, but it is a bit unsharp. :(
But great composition!

1,3 and 5 doesent work. Enyway i really like the 4th one. The one with prairie dog you should have used bigger f-number, so that the head would be in focused area allso.

Sorry for the missing images. Picasa is really finicky about that for some reason.

As for the prairie dog, I was actually shooting a flower at the time when someone shouted out "OMG That one is so cute!" and I looked down and saw one right below me. I spun the dial a couple of times since I was in AV and only got this one off before it ran away.

Very nice! I think Spencer might have some competition with your eagle picture. ^.^

Great shots, but man why do so many photgrophers ruin their photos by putting bad typefaces on them :(

That font doesn't ruin it, it's so small you should only see it if you look for it, it's just a signature..

I actually had to take some trashy photography class in high school and we were required to have the signature on it since the guy thought it would prevent plagiarism. I've just gotten used to it since my Lightroom exports all pictures with the border and the sig.

Really looking forward to someday far away in the future (post-college, post-grad school, etc) when I can actually afford to buy new glass. Shooting at the zoo with a 100mm lens was a serious pain, especially considering the enhanced security precautions after that kid got mauled to death by a tiger.
