I got quite a stunning story for you all, although I've a strong feeling some of you will find the shot to be distasteful. I was walking down the highway this morning snapping shots and after an hour or so of walking I passed through a parking lot. Upon doing so I noticed a car driving rather irresponsibly from side to side and as it was pulling out of the lot it hit a bird head on! The car drove away and out from underneath it came a limping bird. The bird literally limped all the way up to me and just starred. I immediately turned my camera on (luckily the exposure was already metered correctly!), plunged to the ground and snapped a shot off. Literally a second after the shutter flashed I saw the little bird take it's last glimpse of life, of me, as it's body gave up. I was incredibly touched by this incident and I can't help but feel that there was something I possibly could have done to help him or her. I guess his fate was already sealed the moment he entered that lot.

Amazing picture, and incredible focus.
