Normal exposure, with neutral colors (camera settings)

Underexposed, neutral colors:

Normal exposure, with settings at "couleurs éclatantes" (someone please translate this for me..)

Underexposed, still at the color thing setting...

Opinion anyone?
I honestly prefer the last picture...
Now why bother shooting with neutral settings....

Nice shots Marie!
The only thing I don't like in that last one is how everything is so golden. That gold is very rich and beautiful, I can't deny that. But as for me, I prefer a wider color range.

Edit: Much like this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/spencerh6/3686440552/ (Sorry for linking w/o permission Spencer) Just showing as an example, in this shot you get that gold and you get the deep blue clouds...

Couleurs éclatantes means Vivid colors. I also think the last one is the best :)

Ya it is very golden...
I am not sure I can manually set the colors on my camera to have something in between, or if I'm stuck with the pre-set colors....
I have Neutral, vivid, sepia, b/w, adn I think I have personalized settngs..
But I'm out of batteries now (charging) so I can't check what that could be...

Someething in between would be nice I guess...

Spencer's picture was edited HDR and I don't recall seeing that on my camera :p

As soon as the batteries are fine I'll check my camera and at the next opportunity I'll take more of thos types of 'sun ray' pictures..
It's my backyard btw, so I have those on a regular basis :)

Living in the boonies has to have SOME advantage ;)

Hmm I definitely like the couple last ones there, the color is a nice orange, and the way the sun shoots through the clouds looks good as well. The couleurs éclatantes photo to be exact. :)

heaven. purely amazing. i can hardly find words to describe :)

the golden rays in the last one remind me a little of one of my favorite scenes in lord of the rings and the battle of helms deep.
when all seems already lost suddenly the sun rises and gandalf and the rohirrim show up at the top of the mountain
to ride down the hill fearlessly towards the orcs, the sun rays behind them blinding the enemies bringing victory.
