So I'm guessing you spent around $900 for it then? Or if you got that on eebay, like I'm kinda guessing you did, for about $500-700?

Yeah just so I could see which of them suited my area. Out of curiosity because I want to try this tonight, how do you get the lamp light/sunlight flare effect?

I'm not sure what you mean? If you want a lens flare just look at a light source and usually you'll get one. Sometimes you can see it through your view finder or on your live view.

Oh, that was just a long exposure shot I think. Set your camera to auto no flash if you don't know how to change it on manual yet.
