6 & 7 are the only ones that have anything going for them.

6.

It has interesting light but its simply exposed for the highlight which almost removes all detail in the shot.

Instead of shooting at the sun, turn 90degrees either way and use the beautiful sunset colours which are sprawled over the landscape. You will find crisp highlights and deep, detailed shadows if exposed right.

7.

The left side of the building should run straight up the frame and the light is a little boring. 90% of architecture should be straight lined (I say 90% because sometimes it can be pulled off when the perspective is skewed or warped)

Sorry if this sounded harsh in any way =/

Nah I don't really mind harsh criticism at least you didn't call me a douche bag xD jk

hmm I am not sure what you meant by "removes all details in the shot"
Should I use a lower shutterspeed to show all the details in the shadows as well?

Well I took another shot without the sun:

About #7. I am completely new to architecture photography and when I walked past that hotel those balconies caught my eyes but yet I couldn't find the right composition but I am if I did what you suggested it would probably have looked better :)

btw are you are professional photographer? You seem to know a lot about it. ;)

Thats much better in terms of detail. You can see in the shadows that you have alot more numbers to play with.

As I said above, shoot away from the sun. Ive taken notice of your shots and it looks like you live in a beautiful place. Everybody knows what a sky looks like. Capture the beauty of your environment.

The best thing about sunset/sunrise is the way the light interacts with the landscape. People get trapped when they see a pretty sky with pretty colours and dont take notice what it is actually doing around them :(

Architecture photography is a bitch. For the best results, you need a 4x5 camera imo but it can be manageable with dslrs.

Technically I am, but I wouldnt call myself one lol

haha! I guess I am one of those who look up at the pretty sky and get trapped xD that's why seem to keep shooting into the sun quite a lot lol.
Well I meant to remove the details in the shadow to give a more clear contrast between the shadows and those uh highlighted area.

hmm it seems architecture photography is an even more expensive form of photography -.-

So what kind of photography are you into? :)

If you are going to do it professionally than yeah it is. But everything is included in the budget when you shoot.

Yeah, I still remember those beautiful golf course shots you posted awhile ago :p
I have never had the chance to really get into portrait photography but I would want to try that out one day in fact I was actually invited to one of my coworker's birthday party next week. I haven't decided to go yet but if I do I will have to read a few guides and tutorials ^^

Good idea mate, the best time to practice these sorts of things is with friends where you are both comfortable.

If you need any help with stuff I'm more than happy to assist :)
