Ok, PLEASE...will somebody clear this up for me?
I'm so damn confused by it..

So, I understand the part of the New Rebel SLR camera by Canon (The t1i, to be released in May...)
However, If you read near the bottom of the release article ( http://ca.sys-con.com/node/891483 )
It states that Canon is also releasing a "new" speed light, the 270Ex (Successor to the 220Ex)

This makes no sense to me...Why is Canon releasing a 270Ex, when the latest was the 580Ex?
Are the releasing a new, low end flash? Confuses me...

I just checked dpreview and it seems like a sweet camera. HD video in a compact body and hopefully cost whole a lot less than the new 5D ^^

there are just different kinds of flashes, the 580EX is the high end and the 270EX will be the low end.
I would never buy anything like that though since you can't even bounce it...
i'ts basically a batter built in flash.

Since 580ex II is a high end flash maybe they want some low end flash like 270ex, since not everyone can afford the flagship flash and those cheaper flashes are getting old.

Imo canon should realize that no one who owns this camera needs 15 mega pixels and they should start concentrating on iq instead of mega pixels, especially since this camera offers some pretty high iso for cropped sensor.. But if crap is selling what can i say...

So they released a new...low end flash?
seems so pointless to release a crappier flash when they already have a pro 580Ex out...



It looks pretty nice, looks exactly like the 450D, just with HD video.
And it's the same price as the 450D was originally, $899.

So what, the 430EX II was a mistake too? (worse than the 580EX II released before).

Wow HD video is the one thing that i with the 450D had. If it takes really good pictures i think it will sell very well. Shame it only shoots 3.4fps.....

coz if you've got 6.5fps over 3.5fps your almost twice as likely to get the shot you want when shooting action
